Director, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Darling Downs Health Service, Australia Dr David Morrissey currently serves as the Head of Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Toowoomba Hospital within the Darling Downs Health Service within Queensland Health and is also a Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Queensland.

Following his training in Queensland, he completed the South Australian Rhinology Fellowship under the guidance of Professor PJ Wormald and Professor Alkis J Psaltis, which incorporated advanced techniques in Endoscopic Sinus, Anterior Skull Base and Endoscopic Lacrimal Surgery. Dr Morrissey has presented at National and International conferences and serves as Faculty on Advanced Sinus Surgery courses. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed papers, text book chapters and also contributed to Otolaryngology Society position statements on chronic rhinosinusitis.
Dr Morrissey runs a busy, private Rhinology practice and has served as a Surgical Supervisor of Training, Chaired the Medical Advisory committee at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba and been a member of the Expert Advisory Committee for the development of Australasian Health Facility Guidelines.
