A/Prof Paul M. Paddle is an Australian ENT, Head and Neck Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in laryngology — disorders of voice, airway and swallowing. He completed advanced ENT training in Melbourne in 2013 before undertaking a fellowship in Laryngology at Harvard University, focusing on complex airway reconstruction and minimally invasive office-based procedures.
Dr Paddle is active in clinical and translational research, holding appointments with Monash, La Trobe and Charles Sturt Universities, and supervises ENT trainees at Monash Health. His academic work spans airway and voice outcomes, sleep-disordered breathing, and innovation in digital health delivery. He holds a number of current research grants, and has authored a number of articles and book chapters across a wide variety of fields including general ENT, laryngology, paediatric sleep disorders and AI in medicine. |
As founder and Chief Medical Officer of Nebula Health, Dr Paddle leads the development of patient-centred digital health platforms that extend access to specialist care through home-delivered diagnostics and telehealth. He also serves as Director of Research at Akuru, creator of I-Scribe, an AI-powered clinical documentation assistant designed to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and patient communication in healthcare.
