Clinical Associate Professor Raewyn G. Campbell

Rhinologist and Skull Base Surgeon, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia

Associate Professor Raewyn Campbell is as a rhinologist and skull base surgeon in Australia. Raewyn completed 3 international fellowships in Rhinology and Skull Base surgery in Auckland, New Zealand and Philadelphia and Columbus, USA. Raewyn is the vice president of the Australian and New Zealand Rhinologic Society, the secretary of the Australia and New Zealand Skull Base Society and is the Australian representative on the European Rhinologic Society Advisory Board. Raewyn is the ENT research lead for the RPAH Institute of Academic Surgery and is the ENT Associate Member Representative for the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA). Raewyn is currently undertaking a PhD at The University of Sydney.​

Beyond Ergonomics: Tailored Strategies to Improve your Efficiency and Avoid Pain

Work-related MSK injuries in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgeons are common and have a significant impact on the surgeons and their patients. This presentation will explain the risk factors associated with work-related musculoskeletal pain in rhinologists and outline tailored strategies that individual surgeons can apply to their particular circumstances to reduce injury and prolong their career.
