Professor Simon Carney

Professor of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, Flinders University, Australia​

Simon Carney is Professor of ENT Surgery at Finders University in Adelaide, South Australia. He has authored 120 full publications,15 book chapters, 2 surgical dissection manuals and has received several awards for his contribution to ENT research and teaching. He has received over $4.5M in research funding and his work has over 4700 citations with an h-index of 40. He is a Past-President of the ANZ Rhinologic Society, Vice-Chairman and Director of the not-for-profit organisation Asia-Pacific Otolaryngology Surgical Training, a former member of The Medical Board of Australia and a current member of several Australian Federal Government Committees. He is Chair of the RACS Medicolegal Committee, Associate Editor of The American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy and on the Editorial Boards of Rhinology and Clinical Otolaryngology.
